Huge News about my Animations

Posted by TechFlash - October 5th, 2007

I finished animation for my new short finally! I had a really fun time making it, I haven't felt this way in a long time with making films. There will be a huge change with the future of my films starting with this one I finished making animation for now. I will no longer be using lip syncing techniques. I know this decision may have shocked some of you guys (sorry), but It's something I've been wanting to do for a long, long time. I started to think about it when I started making my 4 minute short, the lip syncing was really depressing to do. I never really looked forward to making a movie because I always knew I had to lip sync, the timing of the mouths was hard enough as it is. I started talking to my good friend Blak Tornado earlier today about my thoughts. He told me it'd be a good idea, and if people truly liked my films they wouldn't mind if I stopped lip syncing. This decision has given me more opportunity to make even more films. Better films. Longer films. Smoother films. And finally, I will have more fun making films. When I used to not lip sync, I was always happy to get off my ass and start animating a brand new short. But after I started using it, I never ever wanted to do any animation, it just really wasn't fun anymore. I wanted to go back to the good old days when I had the room in the movie to make more humorous jokes and dialog. Now that I won't be using lip sync anymore, I'll finally be able to include more animation and dialog in my movies. And in my favor, I will have a really fun time doing it. When I look at claymations by Knox and Blak Tornado, I think about how they never use lip syncing, but they pull off some great movies. I thought that even if I didn't do lip syncing, If I really tried I could pull of that awesome short that I've wanted to make for months. So basically what I'm trying to say, is that lip syncing will no longer be a part of my films. This next film I have prepared for release most likely tomorrow, will not have any lip syncing whatsoever, but I do think the animation is a lot smoother, it's remotely funnier, and I'm hoping that people will accept my decision and continue to at least admire my work, and the time and effort that I put into each little frame on these bad boys. Thank you for reading this, and I hope whoever you are you accept this decision I have made :).
